Tina is a licensed clinical professional therapist who is committed to treating children adolescents, adults, families and couples. She has extensive clinical experience with depression, anxiety, child and adolescent mental health, trauma, relationship issues and life transitions.
As a person centered therapist Tina treats her clients as equals taking their concerns into account throughout the entire therapeutic process. She uses a welcoming authentic approach to create a safe and supportive environment that invites clients to build insight and utilize their strengths as they develop a way of living more satisfying and fulfilling. Tina understands that one size does not fit all, as such treatment is tailored to fit each client’s uniqueness. Treatment begins with problems presented by clients and moves to deeper analysis as needed.
Tina received her bachelor's degree in social work from Bowie State University. She earned a master’s degree in Guidance & Counseling from Bowie State University as well. Tina accepted positions in impoverished communities working with children youth and families because she was raised in similar communities. Her goal then and now is to help clients realize that they are not defined or limited by their struggles and that they can create new narratives that bring about a stronger, more optimistic sense of self.
In her spare time Tina enjoys gatherings with family and friends, long rides that end at the beach and most of all, spending time with her two little grandsons that have a way of making life make sense.
